The government, which is rooted in the ideology of nation building, is working with sensitivity for the welfare of the deprived, the exploited, the poor as well as the last human beings.  Through the implementation of various decisions and schemes for the overall development of the Scheduled Castes, the youth of this caste are realizing their dreams of becoming doctors, engineers, pilots.  More than 50 schemes in the field of education, economic and social sector have been implemented for the disadvantaged community.  

Schemes related to education assistance for Scheduled Caste students or all such facilities like uniforms, hostels, loans for study abroad etc. are in operation. 

 Through the implementation of schemes like Bicycle Assistance for Sisters, Kunwarbai's Mameru and Satfera Samuhlagna, Sakka is becoming a partner in the personal development of the sisters. 

 In the state of Gujarat, it is important that the social, economic, educational and health facilities of the Scheduled Castes reach the right beneficiaries and they take full advantage of it.  The efforts of the Information Department to compile all the schemes related to the Scheduled Castes and publish them in the form of a booklet "Development Smile - Scheduled Caste Welfare Scheme" is welcome.

The government has expressed its desire to extend the plans of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment to the people of Chhewada, with a view to developing the underprivileged in social life.  Priority has been given to welfare schemes to ensure the well-being of the people who are oppressed in the ranks of other classes. 

 The State Government has taken comprehensive measures for the educational development of Scheduled Castes and for the upliftment of Scheduled Castes.  In order to maintain social harmony in the society, the state government effectively implements social, economic, educational as well as health oriented schemes for the holistic development of all sections living in the state.  

The state government provides assistance through various schemes such as scholarships, food bills, Samras hostels and loan assistance for study abroad to ensure that students from Scheduled Castes are not deprived of education due to lack of financial facilities. 

 The qualitative change in the standard of living of the Scheduled Caste citizens being carried out by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment is a firm step towards building a strong and harmonious Gujarat.  The Information Department is credited with distributing the booklet "Vikas Smit - Scheduled Caste Welfare Scheme" to the students, parents and women who want to develop the Scheduled Castes across the state.  It is a testament to the strength of Gujarat's organization to work with the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Department of Information to promote such schemes.  ..
